Tyangpoche is one of the biggest monastery in Khumbu region and this place was found by lama Sangwa Dorji when he landed there and meditated. There he left a foot print on a stone which gave the name of the place “Tingbi-je” which means foot print and now it is better known as Tyangpoche.
